St. Mary Assumpta Girls Secondary School is one of the best secondary schools in Northern Uganda, found in Adjumani District.

In St. Mary Assumpta Girls Secondary School we strongly believe that teachers are parents away from home.

I thank all parents who have entrusted their daughters in our hands to be their parents away from home and all those who are our good ambassadors outside the school which contributes to the continuous growth of the number of the students.

We in turn increase the number of the teachers to handle the increasing number of students very well.

We guide the students entrusted to us diligently regardless of who they are and where they hail from. That’s why we  have many Nationalities in the community of the school.

Our teachers plan carefully the knowledge, skills, attitudes and morals they pass to the students and this makes us to produce the most disciplined and responsible persons after studies with good moral values.Many employers have testified to us that few of their most disciplined, dedicated and hardworking staffs are the old girls of the school.

The teachers are well versed with the curriculum and the methods of instructions and above it all they provide guidance and counseling services to the learners.

There are fourteen subjects being taught in the school in “O” level, mathematics,English language,Literature in English,Physics,Chemistry,Biology,Agriculture,Commerce,

Entrepreneurship education,Geography, History, C.R.E, Fine art, Computer studies.

We offer both Arts and Science subject in “A”level.We have adequate and well qualified and dedicated teaching staff to handle both levels.

Our performance is one of the best both in academics and co-curricular activities, for example our school  Netball team emerged the champion in Coca-Cola District Netball championship tournament 2016.

In Academics, St.Marys Assumpta girls SS sends over 80% of the U.A.C.E candidates to the various Universities and the rest to other tertiary institutions every year.  The “O” level performance is equally good with zero failures every year. As the head of the Curriculum management in the school, I wish to pledge to all the parents and the general public that we will continue to work as a team to lift St. Mary Assumpta Girls SS to a greater height in all education aspects and that send your daughters to us, her academic excellency is assured.
